This segment provides a hands-on opportunity for participants to review ethnographic data and to begin the process of analysis. These field data were derived from a multi-state project that dealt with encounters between/among Latino newcomers and Anglo residents in several communities across more than one state in the rural Midwest. Participants will work in small groups, and learn how to assess ethnographic materials in selecting which data to address, to determine which approaches are most appropriate for analysis, and to list possible strategies for writing up the materials once they are analyzed.
