Porcelanium, Herend
Opened in 1999, the demonstration area known as the ‘mini-manufacture’ takes visitors through the entire process of creating porcelain from the preparation of the raw material, through the throwing, modelling, and painting.
The world’s largest collection of Herend porcelain is exhibited at the Porcelanium. A short film introduces visitors to the history of Herend porcelain. Upon prior registration visitors also have the opportunity to try their hands at some of the steps in the manufacturing process.
At the museum cafe guests are served their orders in Herend porcelain.
